War of 1812 reproduction lead-free pewter musket ball!
The Brown Bess musket was the typical firearm of the British army during the War of 1812. The musket was not particularly accurate and the misfire rate was quite high, but a well-trained soldier could fire up to three shots per minute.
During the summer months, the Fort York Guard performs musket-firing demonstrations at Fort York National Historic Site.
